Of the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord there is no end, is there? Yet there
are those who would teach us to speak where the Bible speaks, and to be silent
where the Bible is silent, presumably hoping to avoid error. All well and good,
but if we follow them blindly we are limited to their understanding of where the
Bible speaks, in what manner it speaks, and where it is silent. The Berean
people of Acts 17:11 searched the scriptures (Old Testament) daily to see if the
teachings of Paul and Silas were so. Most church folk today have a reasonable
general knowledge of events and admonitions in the new Testament and use the old
Testament only to confirm their understanding of the new. They know very little
about Bible types, less about Bible symbolism, and practically nothing about the
patterns that abound in this book, let alone being able to follow the message
contained therein and seeing the plan of God for His earth and His plan for man
on the earth.
Teaching the restoration of all things (Acts 3:21) is the mission of this
Berean endeavor and will be the focus of those activities that follow this
statement, whether they are Bible studies, personal correspondences, essays,
books, conferences large or small, counseling, etc.. “Where two or three are
gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst …”
Any and all of restoration absolutely depends upon the restoration of the
Adam of Genesis 2:7, for he is the first disobedient one requiring redemption,
reconciliation, and restoration. Restoration includes all of Adam’s descendants,
including Noah and the descendants of his three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth,
who are in the world today. The idea that all of the people on earth will be
given (restored to) the immortality that Adam once had is not correct, for the
pre-Adamic people of the earth never had that position in the first place.
However, as created beings they have standing before their creator whether some
people like it or not. The idea that restoration consists only of putting the 2
houses of the Common wealth of Israel back together as some say is not true
either, for that fulfillment of Bible prophecy only begins to complete the
restorative plan of God for the earth.
The wonderful story of the people of Scripture is interwoven in a very
fascinating way and is in complete harmony from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. It
is told in a literal historical fashion and is also pictured for us in parables,
types and shadows, symbols and patterns. We will of necessity write of people
and events along the way and of the Creator as well as those created. We will
write of the Law and the prophets and the role they play in the rest-oration
process. And they do. We will write and speak of salvation, the gentiles and the
circumcision, the spiritual gifts, the new Testament writers and the
Tabernacles ministry of Christ, the role the feast days play in time, the
resurrection, and more. This we will do if God permit. Won’t you join us?
